Naik Muddasar Ahmed hailed from Duchoo Village of Tral Tehsil in Pulwama district of J & K. He was belonged to 15 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry and was serving in the Poonch district of J & K during 2017. Naik Muddasar Ahmed was a disciplined and dedicated soldier who took pride in his uniform.
Cross-Border Firing : Poonch (17 July 2017)
Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked firing on Indian Army posts in Rajouri sector in Poonch district at around 0730 hours on 17 July 2017. Naik Muddasar Ahmed was manning a forward post in that sector on that day.
The Army retaliated the unprovoked firing in a befitting manner and the exchange of fire continued for several hours. However, during this exchange of fire one mortar shell landed on the bunker being manned by Naik Muddasar Ahmed and he got injured critically. Naik Muddasar Ahmed was shifted to the nearby hospital after administering the first aid. However, he later succumbed to his injuries and was martyred. Naik Muddasar Ahmed was a brave and committed soldier who laid down his life in the service of the nation.
Naik Muddasar Ahmed is survived by his wife Shaheena Muddasar and two children.
